Adam Lambert nails it in Vivienne Westwood at the debut of Britney Spears ‘Piece of Me’ residency in Las Vegas.
I have a secret to tell you. I’ve always kinda had a thing for Adam Lambert - he is a beautiful man. But I have always been a little turned off by the camp (as in ‘Bitch, please!’ not site)-rocker look, heavy makeup and glittery, well, everything.
But recently Adam has been making some great sartorial choices recently and I’m loving the sleeker, dapper and more natural look he is going for. The face paint has been either toned down or discarded, revealing his stunning eyes - the hair is always immaculately quaffed and he wears clothes so well. I honestly think he has the capability and style to become a front runner in men’s fashion.
For the opening night of Britney’s new Vegas show, Adam chose to wear a suit from Vivienne Westwood’s AW13 collection, and it was a winner! The colours were perfection - red and blue not being the first pairing that would spring to mind, but they work. The cut is great and fits Adam well. The accessories are suitable and they pay honour to his rooted, edgier style. The black safety pin is neither here nor there. It suits his and Westwood’s aesthetic, but colour wise it doesn’t match the suits Amber hardware - a Westwood signature.
Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love a Westwood suit, and I own a similar one to this but in a natural grey. The only thing I do have to say is that I wish Adam chose to wear his suit with the button chain, like Westwood did on the runway. I just think it perfects the suit.
Whats do you think?
