I love France, and this was my first time heading to the south of the country. With the snow-capped backdrop of the Alps, the Cote d’Azur is a stunning location and the entire Riviera is a place to behold. Keep reading and check out my first travel vlog!

Last year, pre-Brexit, I made a pact with myself to see more of Europe. I considered it an injustice to have so many iconic and amazing places on my doorstep and to still not have visited. Post-Brexit and the looming possibility of expensive visas and increased travel costs, and these feelings are even stronger. Barcelona was first on my list in June 2015. Spoiler alert: it’s so good I’ve been back again since. So here’s my guide to Barcelona and the best the city has to offer.

This year I decided I wanted to try and see more of Europe, opting for long weekends away in lieu of long-haul holidays. I kicked off this new adventure with a weekend in Rome. As an ex classical civilizations student, it’s been a dream place to visit since I was a teen. It was my first weekend trip and we aimed to visit the city in three days.

WHAT AN INSANE FEW DAYS! I’ve just landed back in the UK from a whirlwind trip to Mexico on a very special project. I unfortunately have to keep it quiet for now, but I can’t wait to share more with you later on in the year.

But here are a few sneaky trip pics to whet your appetite. It was a crazy experience, from loooooong days on filming sets to the most insane hotel I have every stayed in and seeing the most beautiful sunsets that I didn’t think possible. I am so grateful for the opportunity.

We were to be in Lisbon for three days, so it was time to start packing – “WHAT THE HELL AM I GOING TO WEAR?” – the most pressing question on my agenda.

I’ve always suffered when it came to summer, a mixture of body confidence issues and wanting to stay covered up and also being a super-mega-obsessive fan of the wonder hue that is black. God, I love black. If there were a darker colour, I’d wear it.
